Position Title
Support / Pre-sales Engineer, Japan / Korea
Job Objectives
Pre and Post-sales support for File-Based Media Solutions, Shared Storage, Monitoring and IP Gateways
Engaging customers directly, plus working with resellers.
Position Summary
Responsibilities include: Deal Qualification; solution design; BOM creation; tender responses; training; delivering / organizing workshops & seminars, tradeshows, customer demos; providing feedback on customer requirements to HQ; delivering 1st and 2nd level of post-sale support to Japan / Korea customers, both remotely and onsite

· Effectiveness in supporting the FBMS, Monitoring, IP Contribution business in APAC from a pre-sales perspective, helping to grow the OI in the region
· Knowledge transfer to 5SBAP colleagues, subsidiaries and resellers
· Proper documentation for projects, customer requests, application notes
· Timely and satisfactory level of post-sale support, both for customers as well as resellers

· Troubleshooting, escalation and resolution of customer technical issues

Specific Knowledge/Courses
· Storage topology and bandwidth calculation
· Codecs and video formats
· UHD / HDR knowledge is preferred
· General IT knowledge and SDI over IP standards
Educational Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Film / Broadcasting, IT, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or related field
Experience and Unique Requirements
At least 5 years of relevant experience
