As part of our Japan sales team, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and closing business opportunities against revenue targets for our “Data Protection & Scale-out Storage” solutions within an established geographic territory of the Japan region.Our Most Successful Sales People Able To
Position the company as the provider of choice amidst aggressive competition by using a solutions-based approach matching our hardware, software and services products to crucial customer needs,
Consistently developing new opportunities within specified target markets on a weekly basis.
Develop opportunities and drive deep understanding of the customer and purchasing processes
Quickly establishing strong partner and customer relationships internally with engineering, service, marketing, operations, etc., so our customer’s expectations are routinely exceeded.
Through effective planning, leverage skills and abilities from Country Management, SE, Channel, Marketing and Corporate Resources to secure customer and partner preference


Specific Responsibilities Include
Responsible for target industries and customer environment (e.g. markets – rich media & broadcast, print/press/advertisement and healthcare) funnel management for the innovative Scale-out-storage solution.
Targeted to also manage key partners building embedded solutions for the local market.
Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory.
He/she will also support new product launch and adoption.
Manage opportunities from identification to delivery.
Accurately forecast pipeline deals through SalesForce.com and participate in weekly funnel with Country Manager and peers.
Effectively manage upside deals through their lifecycle and accurately report in SF
Manage all RFI, RFQ and RFP processes. Collaborate as appropriate business alliance partners and other distributors to expand the reach of our products and services.
Utilize consultative, solutions based, selling techniques to identify opportunities for a broad portfolio of software, hardware and services.
Manage business reviews and customer satisfaction activities.
Act as a central point of escalation for customer concerns or supply chain/technical issues and drive resolution



Requirements

Job Requirements (include Education, Skills And Experience)
A minimum of 6-8 years of experience selling into specific vertical markets (require proof of success), data storage industry is required
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent educational qualifications
Working knowledge of Primary and Scale-out Storage solutions
Consultative or solutions selling approach is a must
Demonstrated knowledge of:
Negotiation tactics and persuasive techniques
Sales processes and how to win
How to develop and successfully execute market vertical based territory plans
Excellent customer service skills and strong problem solving, abilities
Team oriented and ability to motivate and inspire others
Exemplary interpersonal and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills and ability to spend significant amount of time on the telephone
Exceptional organizational skills, time management and special attention to detail and follow-up
Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and exhibit a positive ”can-do” attitude
High degree of honesty, integrity and exercise good independent judgment
Must be able to travel within Japan and less frequently to other parts of the world
Must be able to work independently and with varying work hours
